If you like to report the Attacker-IPs to clean the infected server up, you can use https://www.blocklist.de for automatically fail2ban reporting.
On blocklist you have stats, whitelists and other nice stuff.

4. The one extra step that wasn’t in the readme was to add the device id (15a9:0012 from the lsusb output) in the appropriate source file before compiling the driver:

rtusb_dev_id.c: {USB_DEVICE(0x15A9,0×0012)}, /* Airlink AWLL7025 */

question???

What is the appropriate source file called?

Thank you

Jay, 'bare naked ladies' is the Canadian rock band :) ... those night shots were done hand-held and the image stabilization worked great. I own a Tamron but have had some focus issues, so I decided to go with a Canon.

Why did you opt for Canon's lens and not Tamron's recently announced 18-270mm F3.5-6.3Di II VC LD Aspherical (IF) Macro? Is it because you did not feel confident with Tamron's own optical stabilization system? Just curious ... I was thinking of getting one prior to my India visit.
